Jesus and Horus

Throughout the internet there are circulations that draw parallel accounts between many gods. One of the most popular comparisons is made between Jesus of Christianity and Horus of Egypt. Some may refute that Christianity is a "recycled myth" borrowed from earlier. Anyone can be entitled to their own opinion but not their own facts. It is very important to investigate each claim thoroughly with careful examination, scholarly credibility, and historical evidence before assuming any stand. So let's cross examine each character and their attributes in order to see if Jesus was in fact a carbon copy of Horus. But first thing is first, we must conduct a background summary between the 2.

Jesus- carpenter, born in Bethlehem, Son of God, God in the Trinity, teacher, prophet, supposed Savior, healer, lived in the time of Herod the Great before the destruction of the Jewish temple, son of Mary and step father, Joseph, came to destroy Satan's work and fulfill the prophecy in the Old Testament, the anointed One, had 12 disciples, bloodline going back to Adam and Eve, condemned by the Jews, was crucified by the Romans, died for the sins of mankind, buried, resurrected, sits at the right hand of the Father, will return for the Second Coming.

Horus- son of the god, Osiris, and goddess, Isis. Osiris has 4 siblings 3 of them being Seth, Isis and Nephthys. Osiris married his sister Isis and Seth married his sister Nephthys. Nephthys took the form of Isis and seduced Osiris and bore a son, Anubis. Seth found out and was enraged. He then tricked his brother, Osiris into seeing if he could fit in a coffin and then threw it in the Nile River drowning him. Isis recovered the body but Seth stole it cut it into pieces and hid them throughout the Egyptian desert. Isis spent years looking for the pieces and eventually recovered all of them except his penis. She later used her magic to bring him back to life and mated with Osiris which was an act of necrophilia. Osiris then became a god of the underworld. Horus wanted to avenge his father's death by fighting against his uncle Seth. Horus was known as the Sky god, war god, often depicted as a falcon/hawk sometimes with a body of a lion. He had the moon of his eye and the sun for his other eye.

So far there is nothing similar between these two besides the fact that they were gods and possessed miraculous powers. Let's see if we can find other similarities:

Birth- Horus was born Dec 25th. It is a fact that Jesus was not born on that date. No one is sure when Jesus was born. The Bible never mentions it. We know that he was born around 6BC to 1AD. The date of Dec 25th wasn't issued until almost 400 years later from the Romans.

Virgin birth- Jesus was born from his mother, the virgin, Mary making it a miraculous conception.
According to Plutarch, Isis lost her virginity before she was born:

"... but Isis and Osiris were enamoured of each other and consorted together in the darkness of the womb before their birth. Some say that Arueris came from this union and was called the elder Horus by the Egyptians, but Apollo by the Greeks." - Plutarch, Osiris and Isis.

Isis and Osiris were not only husband and wife, they were brother and sister. In fact they were twins. And in accordance to their mythology, they had consummated their love for one another before they were born. There is also a tradition that Isis later marries her son Horus, further complicating any reasonable comparisons to Christianity. There are no reasons to believe a virgin birth from a mortal woman as the New Testament writers write. It's also very difficult to believe that a mortal virgin woman would produce a half lion/half hawk god.

Baptismal- According to the Egyptian book, the Book of Going Forth by Day, baptism was used to purify the newborn from the mother's womb. Also, water, especially the Nile's cold water, which was believed to have regenerative powers, is ONLY used to baptize the dead in a ritual, unlike how the way the living Jesus was baptized. Critics will say that Horus was baptized by Anub(is) who was an embalmer, not a baptizer. He was never mentioned being baptized.

Crucifixion and resurrection- There are two passages within the writing of Plutarch that might lead one to assume that the reconstruction of Osiris leads to a resurrection:

o "Later, as they relate, Osiris came to Horus from the other world and exercised and trained him for the battle." - Plutarch, Osiris and Isis.

o "In this way we shall undertake to deal with the numerous and tiresome people, whether they be such as take pleasure in associating theological problems with the seasonal changes in the surrounding atmosphere, or with the growth of the crops and seed-times and ploughing; and also those who say that Osiris is being buried at the time when the grain is sown and covered in the earth and that he comes to life and reappears when plants begin to sprout." - Plutarch, Osiris and Isis.

This is too ambiguous to assume a bodily resurrection like Christ. It just indicates of a spiritual resurrection. He then became the ruler of the underworld, a story unlike Jesus. Another problem with crucifixion is that it wasn't practiced 4 thousand years ago at the time of Horus so how is that possible? The earliest that we can actually date crucifixion is to the act of Darius the Persian, conqueror of Babylon in 519 BCE, when he had 3000 Babylonian prisoners crucified.

Other- There are no mentions that Horus had 12 disciples like Jesus, but a mention of 4 demi-gods, 16 nobles, and blacksmiths accompanying him. There are no mentions of Horus being born in a manger but a swamp or a cave which is nothing close to a manger, no mentions of Horus raising anyone from the dead like how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. No mentions of a transfiguration, baptism, walking on water, having a second coming, or preaching in the temple at 12.

Horus was never accompanied by 3 wisemen during his birth. In fact, the Bible never mentions the exact numbers that visited Jesus. It was assumed 3 because of the 3 gifts presented. 3 wise men is an inaccurate translation. Horus was never heralded by a Star.

Horus Mother was Isis, not Meri. Isis was sometimes called Isis Meri which is a title meaning "beloved". That title was also shared with other gods and goddesses. Meri has no connection with Mary. Horus' father was Osiris, not Seb. Seb was the father of Osiris and his name is very distinct from Joseph.

Based on what we have just reviewed there are no similarities between the 2 with the exception that they were gods with miraculous powers. Before taking a position from an outrageous claim from sources such as Zeitgesit, it is paramount to explore the answers from a credible scholarly source.

Psychic Medium - What Are Seances?

Since back in the days, where horse drawn carriages had ruled the streets, and up until the present time, people have always been curious about the ways of the psychic realm. In the wide range of the psychic sphere, there is a concept known as a seance, a concept related to a psychic medium, and it has ever since been igniting the curiosity and speculations of many people.

Many people are unaware that a a seance is connected to how a psychic goes about. But then, nowadays, the term seance, is hardly even heard of, unlike the psychic's concept which is very popular.

If a psychic practices seances from time to time, what is really a seance, and how is it connected to a psychic? A seance is defined as a meeting of people, led by a psychic, for a purpose of communicating with the spirits in the afterlife. Obviously, a psychic plays a vital role in the said meeting, because in order for a seance to take place, there must be a psychic medium.

Mediums are much like psychics, but only better endowed with power. Aside from common psychic capabilities (reading the past, present, and the future), they have what ordinary psychics don't. A medium possesses a power that is only unique to them, the power to communicate with the spirits who have departed from this life, and moved on to the next.

A medium uses their ability to help people who want to connect with their loved ones who have passed on the next life, this is done through a seance. In a seance, a psychic will call upon the spirit of the desired person in the next life, and communicate with him or her. The message that a medium receives from the contacted spirit, will then be relayed to the person concerned.

This is the reason they are called mediums -- because they are both a psychic and a medium. Generally speaking, mediums are are rare, and not just anyone is gifted with this much power. Because of their unique ability, this is why a medium is sought for.

There are many reasons why people seek mediums and their seances. Like, if we need closure of letting on a loved one who has passed away, and the only way to do so is to communicate with them. There are also times that we cannot attain peace without getting in touch with a needed spirit. There are many things that you can learn from a seance via a medium.

A medium and a seance, can help people in so many ways. But, above anything else, a person must first believe in the existence of the afterlife, as well as faith in the ways of the psychic realm, to be able to see its full power.

Tana Hoy is America's Foremost psychic medium. He is known to have the special gift to communicate with the other side! Visit his website, http://www.TanaHoy.com and find out more.

Cryptozoology - The Evidence of Creatures Whose Existence is Uncertain

The evidence of creatures whose existence is uncertain is studied by cryptozoology, a science researching presumable proof of animals considered extinct or out of this world, which are still occasionally reported as seen in diverse locations. Such hypothetical creatures are usually referred as "cryptids", a term coined by John Wall in 1983, while cryptozoology is a term attributed to the Scottish adventurer and explorer Ivan T. Sanderson, the Father of cryptozoology is regarded as Bernard Heuvelmans, who published a book using this term for the fist time in 1955. Bernard Heuvelmans believed that cryptozoology would be undertaken with scientific rigor, but keeping an open-mind to find the grains of truth behind fantastic elements in folk tales depicting fantastic unseen creatures, and that folklore and traditions are the best sources to approach these myths.

William J. Broad wrote in the New York Times, "Monster lovers take heart. Scientists argue that so much of the planet remains unexplored that new surprises are sure to show up; if not legendary beasts like the Loch Ness monster or the dinosaur-like reptile 'Champ' said to inhabit Lake Champlain, then animals that in their own way may be even stranger. Cryptozoologists try to unveil the mystery behind hidden creatures which all of us have heard about, but just a few have been seen very briefly that it is impossible to determine where the truth ends, but usually is where the myth begins.

The Loch Ness monster (Nessie), Mothman, the Abominable Snowman, and Chupacabras, are just a few of those creatures whose existence is not clear, and there is not enough proof whether to confirm or deny the legitimacy of reports made by witnesses who have seen them. Skepticism is prevalent among scientists, despite the fact that many cryptozoologists are also respected scientists in other fields, who have found vestiges of previously unknown animals, but still cannot find the missing proof of creatures seen during the last two centuries.

Anyway, notable cryptozoologists have contributed actively with their research, including Bigfoot researchers Erik Beckjord, Peter Byrne, René Dahinden, Paul Freeman, Cliff Crook and John Green. Loch Ness Monster researchers Tim Dinsdale, Fredrick William Holiday, Roy Mackal, and Peter Scott, and Cadborosaurus researcher Paul LeBlond, Chupacabra researcher Scott Corrales, Mothman researcher John Keel, Champ researcher Joseph W. Zarzynski, Jonathan Downes, founder of Centre for Fortean Zoology, and John Kirk, president of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, among many other scientists and researchers.

Cryptozoologists have found over a hundred creatures, whose existence is not confirmed, including the Winnipogo, Yeti, Kongamato, Igopogo, Globsters, Congo Peacock, Abogwe, Giant Anaconda, Minnesota Iceman, Mokele-mbembe, besides the widespread creatures mentioned above. In addition, researches have found dozen of different lake monsters, the Mountain Gorilla, Discovered in October 1902 by Belgian Army, the Kouprey and the Komodo Dragon discovered in 1937 and 1912 respectively, and the unbelievable Goblin universe.

There is a website that describes this and numerous other creatures of Cryptozoology in detail. The website is called: Unknown Creatures, and may be found at this address:

Chupacabra - One of the most Frightening Creatures of Cryptozoology

The Chupacabra is one of the most recent creatures of cryptozoology, first seen during the early 1990s in Puerto Rico. El Chupacabra, Chupacabras or Goat Sucker is a creature native to the Americas, particularly the island where it was first reported, Mexico, and the United States, although this being has been reported in other Latin American communities.

Goat sucker is the literal translation to the Spanish word Chupacabra, the name given to the creature after being reported as a winged being, with the habit of attacking and drinking the blood of goats and livestock. Like occurs with other cryptids, the Chupacabra is described in different way after the sightings in Puerto Rico. From the North Carolinas in the United States to the south of Chile bordering with Argentina, the Chupacabra was a lonely single creature flying from one location to another, until the reports of attacks revealed that there is more than one creature in the area.

Once again, the scientists consider the Chupacabra a legendary creature, born from modern urban legends, but nobody can explain how and who attacked animals in the way the Chupacabra is described to attack. In early 1992, the first reports were considered human acts of Satanism or a similar cult. Later, it was said that a sort of primitive vampire was responsible for the killings of many different types of goats, and other animals, including birds, dogs, cows and horses. All dead animals were found with one pattern in common, they all had two puncture holes on their necks and they were totally drained of blood.

Mass hysteria began when the lack of blood was accompanied by mutilations and the reports outside Puerto Rico were more frequent. Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Panama, Peru, Brazil, Dominican Republic, and the United States were the preferred target of the Chupacabra before making Mexico its second home. After being considered a vampire or "macho cabrio", the Chupacabra was considered a type of Alien until the continuous sightings gave it specific forms of appearance. The Chupacabra is supposed to be a wallaby-like being, a strange breed of wild dog, or the most common, a lizard-like creature with greenish-gray skin and sharp spines running down its back.

In 2001 a Chupacabra's corpse was found in Nicaragua supporting the conclusion that it is simply a strange breed of wild dog, but in recent years the tracks of a winged-like being were found in Mexico. This finding shows a creature as it was originally described in the 1990s, but without the corpse, this proof makes no evidence for scientists.

Celtic Otherworld and the Legend of King Arthur

A general description of the Celtic Otherworld
Many of the Celtic myths and stories are related to the otherworld. These are 'magical' worlds that exist in different dimensions inhabited by numerous 'other beings'. The dimensions include the worlds of faeries and dragons, the land of the dead and many other entities such as demons and gods.

The otherworld was not some distant world that was considered inaccessible, but was believed by the ancient Celts to be a dimension that was parallel to that of earth's and could be entered into at any time or place. Those that entered these worlds are believed to be exposed to a wealth of knowledge - especially so to those who are seekers of truth, poets and philosophers.

Portals existed in specific places where entry could be made but were also protected by powerful otherworld magic to prevent unauthorized entry. These worlds were also known to exist on subterranean levels and could be entered through portals in caves, hills or mountains.

The extent of the otherworld is too vast for the mortal mind to comprehend. It was generally accepted that the invisible inhabitants live in many magical kingdoms and regions and only privileged mortals were allowed to enter these realms. It is also well known that time has no effect on the people of the underworld as they remain young and do not age.

King Arthur - a beautiful tale a mortal strongly connected to the otherworld
One of the most beloved tales of the ancient Celts is that of the magnificent King Arthur. Arthur was the son of the High King Ambrosius Aurelanius and was given to Merlin the Druid soon after he was born. He was raised and trained by the magician and educated about the otherworld. As a young man Arthur successfully removed a magical sword that was lodged in a stone and became king. This sword, which was called Excalibur, was originally the possession of "The Lady of the Lake" - which was otherworldly.

Lady of the Lake Legend
The domain of this lady was known as the Isle of Avalon. Famous knights like Lancelot and Bors were raised in the Lady's underwater palace. Lancelot became known as Lancelot du Lac (of the lake). The Lady of the Lake, Niniane, eventually caused the death of Merlin the wizard by sealing him in a rock. Merlin has foreseen this happening but was so in love with the lady that he ignored his vision. Merlin taught Niniane many lessons in sorcery and in return wanted her to return his love. This ended in tragedy as he paid with his life.

King Arthur became the most famous and just ruler of Camelot and with Excalibur and his faithful Knights of the Round Table he won many battles. His downfall came when his favorite warrior and most trusted companion, Lancelot du Lac, had an illicit affair with his wife Guinevere. In the Lancelot story he left Camelot and went on the holy grail quest. This he undertook in an attempt to cleanse himself of the sins of adultery.

The Holy Grail is the cup that was used by Jesus in the last supper. It was also used to catch His blood while hanging wounded on the cross. According to legend Sir Lancelot du Lac was one of the first Knights of the Round Table to become a Christian. He never obtained the Holy Grail but his son, Sir Galahad had much better success.

Known places of the location of the Otherworld
The island of Ireland has many places where the Otherworld can be reached. The island was said to be inhabited by a group that called themselves "People of the Sidh". They were also known as "Fairy Fort". This fort was a subterranean area that was hidden from the outside world by powerful magic. The province of Munster is said to be the location where the otherworld can be entered.

Earth's Easter Island and the Doom of Humanity

In the beginning was a mystery and the mystery was thought-provoking enough that some people felt that extra-terrestrial beings created it. Many years ago, Dutch sailors noticed an isolated island in the middle of the dark Pacific. Headed by the navigator Jacob Roggeveen, the explorers decided to land on what appeared to be an island of sand dunes. The Europeans, especially the Spaniards, were already exploring the New World and encountering strange sites-the Spanish viceroy of Peru already reported that the Incan capital was protected by high walls built by the Devil himself. So on 5 April 1722, there was an eerie feeling sweeping over the Dutch sailors as they approached the strange island.

If the Spaniards were horrified by the demonic walls of the Incas, the Dutch sailors were soon to find out that the devil-while Europe was facing the demons of Christianity-have been building his fortresses across the American continent and towards the Pacific. As they drew nearer the island they noticed large stone images floating over the dunes. "We could not comprehend how it was possible that these people, who are devoid of heavy thick timber [or] strong ropes, nevertheless, had been able to erect such images, which were fully thirty feet high," wrote Roggeveen in his journal. And then they discovered that it was not dunes they were looking at but barren hills devoid of forests and timbers.

Thousands of stone images extremely larger than the simple phallic monuments of Southeast Asia dotted the bald island. "The great mystery that struck all early visitors was not just that these colossal statues stood in such a tiny and remote corner of the world, but that the stones seems to have been put there without tackle, as if set down from the sky," said the historian Ronald Wright, and added, "The figures stood there mockingly, defying common sense." And there is indeed a certain degree of common sense education that can be learned from these statues of the "Devil"; but one may ponder as to what evil the statues caused or was the Devil a narcissist who carved his face on a thousand stones.

Rapa Nui, as the Polynesians called the island, "was once well watered and green, with rich volcanic soil supporting thick woods of the Chilean wine palm, a fine timber that can grow as big as an oak." Around 500 CE, Wright explains, "migrants from the Marquesas of the Gambiers arrived in big catamarans stocked with their usual range of crops and animals." Rapa Nui became a thriving society of around 10,000 people divided into nobles, priests and commoners. But what catastrophe occurred in Rapa Nui that made the famous Captain James Cook, who visited the island later after the Dutch, wrote that nature had "been exceedingly sparing of her favours to this spot"?

Just like the other Polynesians, the inhabitants of Rapa Nui worshipped their ancestors through the erection of statues. It became a source of pride: the larger the statue, the greater the prestige. And as generation to generation the urge for greater prestige increased, the statues too increased in size; dramatically "demanding more timber, rope, and manpower. Trees were cut faster than they could grow." The inhabitants were consuming the natural resources of the island like greedy piranhas swarming over their prey. But just as most things in this world, the perfection of an art also means the destruction of it. The sabre-toothed cat once perfected the art of killing the mammoths that they hunted them down to the last one. The extinction of the prey also meant the extinction of the predator; and in the island's case, the greater the monuments became-the more they reach perfection-the greater the pace of the destruction of the environment.

Man was the catastrophe of Rapa Nui. It is indeed chilling to hear when Wright wrote that by 1400 CE, "no more tree pollen is found in the annual layers of the crater lakes." Chaos took over as the contest for resource set in. There were skirmishes between families and tribes, and "the Europeans heard tales of how the warrior class had taken power, how the island had convulsed with burning villages, gory battles, and cannibal feasts." The "mini-civilization" of monuments, great houses, and large villages was pushed back to the early culture of the Cro-Magnons as their resources dwindled down to the last chickens they have kept. As the land resources minimized dead, sea foods could have been the only salvation. However, no timber meant no new boats; and as the last old boat faded away into oblivion, the people were doomed. Cook described them as "small, lean, timid and miserable."

There is a very strong analogy between the island called Rapa Nui and the planet called Earth-the former was destroyed by man's insatiable nature while the latter is being ravaged by man's incalculable cruelty. One can remember the Brothers: "Human beings are a disease in this planet. You are a plague." Environmentalist can argue that humanity must save earth, but one must also remember that in the 99.9% of the Earth's existence it withstood the burning hell of gravitational pull, the sea of fire created by wicked storms, ice ages that can freeze even a refrigerator, the appetite of the dinosaurs, and the impact of a thousand asteroids. Earth always had a period of rejuvenation; so there is no need to worry about earth, it can handle itself. The question is: can humanity handle Earth handling itself?

The answer is obvious enough: we hang on a balance of a 50-50 survival rate. What happened in Rapa Nui was not just an omen; it was a warning by Earth: "you can worship a million gods beneath a billion souls of your ancestors, or you can roll them all into one, I do not care. When the time comes when I declare war on humans and the living species that damaged me, no army of God will be powerful enough to stop me from changing myself!" And the earth is indeed dramatically changing. Temperatures have enormously risen since the beginning of modern civilization. Perhaps humanity may have pushed its experiment of civilization to its limits-always wanting to make the largest statue. Like Rapa Nui, everything will have an end.

Armageddon is not the coming of God on Earth; it is the day the Earth will reclaim everything it lost from the quick burst of human greed and human arrogance. Perhaps humanity should learn that what it is doing is suicide-religion made humanity blind to the fact that they came out of Earth, children of its soil, nurtured by its air, given life by its resources. The time we placed the gods and the goddesses on the pedestal of our consciousness was the time the Earth stood still. Time to relearn, what was unlearned! Then maybe, just maybe, the story of what happened on Isla de Pascua (Easter Island, also called Rapa Nui) may bring a new life for humanity.

The Mystery of Easter Island

Easter Island was first contacted by the western world by Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen in 1722. It was named Easter Island because it was discovered on Easter. It is officially a territory of Chile, located in the South Pacific Ocean about 2000 miles from Chile's west coast. Easter Island is probably most famous for its 887 gigantic statues, called Moai. What is less known, but equally fascinating, is the rich cultural history and mythology of these islands.

Archaeologists have long disputed when Easter Island was first inhabited by humans. Estimates range anywhere from 300 CE to 1200 CE, but the general consensus is somewhere between 700-1000 CE. These estimates are similar to the estimates of first known inhabitants of Hawaii. At this time in history, seafaring people from Indonesia were colonizing islands all over the Pacific ocean.

Because Easter Islanders are descended from the Polynesian culture, their mythology shares many characteristics with it. However, because of the island's extreme geographic isolation (the nearest inhabited island is more than 2000km away), their mythology evolved in unique ways. For example, they believed that their people came from a mythical homeland, which they called Hiva. Most Polynesian cultures also believe this, but they usually call this land Hawaiki. Despite their origins from the Polynesian islands, the people of Easter Island believed Hiwi lay in the east, where the sun rises.

Easter Island mythology proceeded through two distinct stages. The first was an ancestor worship system. The Moai statues were erected as a tribute to past important members of the group. These statues represent a very impressive creative and intellectual feat. The statues were often 30 feet tall and weighed more than 75 tons. They were almost always carved out of volcanic rock and were erected on the shores or the island, facing inwards. The inward orientation of the statues is thought to represent the ancestors watching over the island inhabitants from the edge of the sea. Like most island cultures, Easter Island's mythology consisted of a significant marine component.

In the 19th century, a civil war erupted amongst the Easter Islanders. A new group, which anthropologists have dubbed the Bird-Man Cult, rose to power after several years of a fierce war with the traditional Moai group. During this time, almost all of the Moai statues were toppled. The Bird-Man Cult worshiped a god called Makemake, who was the creator of humanity and the world.

In recent times, peace has returned to the island, and the Moai statues are in the process of being restored and re-erected by the island's inhabitants. Easter Island is undoubtedly one of the strangest and most fascinating places on earth. Let's do our part to keep our earth beautiful by utilizing our kitchen garbage cans more often. A great choice is a stainless steel garbage can. We don't want America to become destroyed as Easter Island was.

Forget 2012, Asteroids, and Global Warming - Fear Earth's Magnetic Pole Flip!

Okay, so you've lived through the cold war, Ice Age, Y2K, Peak Oil, Bird Flu, International Terrorists, and you are worried now about what exactly? Oh yes, Global Warming and 2012, but of course, ha ha ha. Aren't you getting too old for all this mass media hysteria and nonsense already? I mean how many decades do you have to live through before you realize these are all merely created realities to make you fear, knock you off your game, or transfer wealth.

Not long ago, I was discussing all this with a conspiracy theorists, and he asked; "Have you studied the magnetic poles and the consequences of a flip?" OMG I told him, okay so, forget 2012, asteroids, and Global Warming; fear Earth's Magnetic Pole Flip! Okay fine. Well, here is the thing, I actually have read up on this so I told him;

Yes, I have looked at the available information, listened to the late night talk-show hosts, and read up on this somewhat. Seems to be a lot of theories out there, and yet, we've never observed this, and I've never seen any computer modeling, not that I'd ever trust human computer modeling with such an important thing.

If this is a cyclical occurrence, then it would indeed explain much of the human record, holes in evolutionary theory, explanation of 26,000 year old pyramids under the ground near the Ukraine and lots of ancient tales of past civilizations. But, I am a huge skeptic, and I'd like to observe another planet going through such gyrations before too much over speculation.

He then claimed that; "we are 1000+ years overdue for a polar flip, where the North and South magnetic poles reverse. When I was born magnetic North travelled almost a mile a year. It has been accelerating for 50+ years now and today travels over 30 miles a year."

Sure, and this could account for all the warming of the Northern ice caps, a couple of degrees in tilt, off cycle from what we consider the normal tilt in relation to the Sun could cause that. Throw in some urban heat, El Niño's, etc. and all the current events, ice melting, ambient atmospheric temps, altitudes of upper atmosphere separations is all accounted for.

He said, "But you don't understand we are all going to die, this is serious; polar reversals in the past gave hints of change and then BANG the flip occurred within months."

Okay, I suppose this is all possible, so I told him could be, as that is how nature often works, take a car going around a corner too fast, you hear the tires squeal but the car continues going around the corner, and at the tipping point, it breaks lose, you suspect it might, and have warnings, but never know exactly when.

Even if you can calculate the avalanche of a giant sand hill in the Sarah Desert, you do not know exactly when it will occur, just that you are on the edge. But in planetary tectonic plate terms, this could be not micro-seconds like the car, or hours or days like the sand hill, it could be decades, centuries, or more. Have you read up on the HARRP project and the original theories of using it to stabilize the planet, atmosphere, communicate, and control things? It's interesting. It sure makes a lot of sense to me.

He continued to attempt to scare me on all this stuff and claimed; "the reversals were preceded by magnetic poles accelerating, but the actual flipping is quick."

Okay, so I challenged his data and asked for specifics; How does one know this, what human had a compass and measurement last time it happened? Has it been simulated in the Lab? Well, anyway, I love the theory, and it would be more than cool for a movie like CORE, 2012, or future Sci Fi genre.

But he said; "when this happens it will result in solar wind pressure on the atmosphere and possible EMP (electromagnetic pulse) events over the entire planet which could conceivably induce electrical arcs over power lines and motor contacts."

Now then, may as well play with all this some more, after all, I am sitting in Starbucks and who knows where these people come from, so I said; Yes, it would in theory screw up everything in our modern civilizations, and it would take a bit of time even after the re-alignment and bring it all back. It could take 10-years with maximum productivity to re-stabilize civilization, and back to present day 20-years + educational backlog and bottlenecks.

It would kill off lots of people; weather would be insane, 600 plus miles per hour at the surface in some areas. Earthquakes would leave much of everything not standing. Rubble everywhere, well, in theory, or it could be a gradual non-event for those living in certain areas, and major disaster for others?

He reminded me of some recent history; "Remember reading about fires starting from telegraph lines in the 1880's when they had a big solar flare event?" And I have to admit; yes, that was a very interesting event, perhaps solar flares, cosmic weather, etc, hard to say for sure. He told me that; we won't care about global warming because we will be starving. Worms may be the best source of protein we could find in times like that, but if you are hungry enough they will taste great." Well, the human biosystem has a resilient stomach and genetically we can eat most of anything, except a few poisonous things.

And because of comments like this and religion we have so many flocking to see Hollywood Movies of Doom and Gloom! But if the Earth wobbles, gyrates, and then find equilibrium, or if such a process takes 30-days, it might not be so bad, but it would sure change things a lot, nothing would be exactly the same anymore. Cool topic, but consider this debunked, it isn't happening any time soon, and a little adversity builds character anyway!

Issie - The Japanese Lake Monster

In Kyushu Island, in Lake Ikeda (which is the largest caldera lake on the island), there lives a lake monster that goes by the name Issie. According to the mythology behind the lake, Issie was once a white mare living with its little foal on the shore of the lake. This little foal was then kidnapped by a samurai, which caused Issie great despair. Issie then jumped into the lake and transformed into the humongous saurian beast that frequently goes to the surface to look for its long lost foal.
In terms of what this creature might really be, if eyewitnesses are to be believed; then this might be a creature similar to the very infamous Loch Ness, or the lesser-known Champ. If not a Suaropod, then Issie, pronounced as Isshy by the locals, might be a serpent-like creature measuring almost 30 feet long.
Although there have been a lot of people who have claimed to seen the mysterious creature, no real concrete evidence have yet been put forward. The best proof that Issie exists is due to sightings by Yutaka Kawaji as well as 20 people from his family. Issie suddenly made an appearance during a family get-together in 1978 and people claimed to have seen humps on the lake measuring 16-feet long and rising 2 feet high from the lake's surface. Yutaka was so enthralled by the creature that he actually chased it in a motorboat.
Other proofs include the photographs taken by Toshiaki Matsuhara, who was able to photograph two humps that had spiral ridges. He was able to photograph the creature because he noticed a whirlwind in the water, apparently caused by the creature. Another proof is the 1991 video of 30-foot long creature swimming in the lake.
People who do not believe that Issie exists state that having a huge creature like that in the lake is impossible since the lake was formed due to rainwater and surface water, with no real connection to the sea (making it impossible for sea-creatures to go to the lake). One possible explanation for the Issie-argument is the fact that large Malaysian eels were introduced to the lake but since the largest recorded eel was a mere 5 feet in length, these are too small to even cover one hump witnessed by the people.
Whatever one might believe, one fact remains; there is something in that lake. It might be a giant serpent, or merely an over grown eel but as long as it hasn't been caught, Issie the Japanese Lake Monster lives on.

Dragons Celts and Druids

There is a certain cosmic sensibility to the myths and legends of the Celtic peoples. A sense of things being bigger than they seem. Power flows beneath the skin of the world to the Celtic mind, accessible along the path of dragons and the mouth of stones. It was the Druids who could see it, interpret it for their brother-Celts, follow the lines of power and show them where to build their villages and sanctified places.

A Mystery
The Celts are a mystery even now. They once ranged across the width and breadth of Europe, from the forests of Germany to the hills of Northern Italy. Their greatest concentration was perhaps in Scotland, Ireland and England. The Celts of Great Britain are what many modern people think of when they hear the word 'Celt'. But in truth, they were a people who spread from one end of ancient Europe to the other, and they left their mark stamped upon the face of the continent, though they themselves are gone now, for the most part.

Druids and Dragons
Druids and Celtic dragons, on the other hand, are more familiar to the modern mind. What do you think of, when you hear the term 'druid'? A robed figure, mistletoe in one hand, a scythe in the other, standing over a stone slab and a screaming victim. Horror films have a lot to answer for in terms of our familiarity with the concept of the Druid. In reality, druids were the priests and seers of the Celts. Druids engaged the cosmic on a daily basis, pitting their knowledge against the raw force of the mystic energies which the Celts believed permeated their lands. They would pinpoint the best places to till the soil or carve stone or build a home, and show their people the places to best avoid. Too, they had a strange relationship with the concept of the dragon.

Dragons, while commonly thought of as fire-breathing marauders, were, to the Celts, indicators of places of great power. Where dragons trod, mystic energy flowed, and where they laired where invariably places of great sanctity and mystical harmony. While dragons were dangerous, they were also indicators of fertility, of life. 'The Path of the Dragon' was the Celtic term for ley lines. And ley lines, for the uninitiated, were the stretches of mystic power which criss-crossed the land. Druids hunted these lines, and made a ley lines map for their people, instructing them to build their temples and homes along the lines in order to harvest the energies.

Dragons, Druids and Celts are all inextricably linked by these bands of power. For the Celt, dragons, though deadly, and frightening, represented the continuation of life and health. They were omens of a good harvest, of a year of plenty. And the Druids were the ones who found the dragons and interpreted their meaning for a given group of Celts. For these ancient peoples, everything hummed and sparked with the lightning of the gods. Where dragons walked, the lightning was visible, and where Druids indicated, the lightning was controllable for the good of the Celtic people.

History of the Celtic Druids

The Druids were an ancient order of Celtic priests in the societies of Western Europe, Britain and Ireland. The Celtic Druids served their communities by combining the duties of seer, priest, poet, philosopher, historian, scholar, teacher, doctor, astronomer and astrologer. The Celts had developed a highly sophisticated religious system, with three divisions of men who were held in exceptional honor; the lowest division were called the Ovates, the second division were called the Bards and then the Druids. The ovates were the healers and seers; the bards memorised the songs, poems, and stories of the tribe (historians); while the druids taught moral philosophy and were experts in the workings of natural science.

The Celtic Druids were advisers to the rulers of that time, acted as judges in the event of disputes, supervised executions and even controlled the legal system. They were held in such respect that if they intervened between two armies they could stop the battle. The Druid priests and priestesses acted as mediums through which the spirits could be summoned and heard, with rituals throughout the history of the Celtic Druids being enacted in sacred groves of oak trees and circles of standing stones

The first surviving and fullest account of the druids and their religion is that given by Julius Caesar in his Commentarii de Bello Gallico, book VI, written in Gaul in 59-51 BC. Overall, not much can be said of the druids with assurance as the sources of information about them is limited. However they continued to feature prominently in later sources of Irish myth and literature. Thus, the history of the Celtic Druids presents many obscurities and our main literary sources date back to the 2nd century BC with Pliny and The Commentaries of Caeser.

"The principal point of their doctrine", Caesar wrote, "is that the soul does not die and that after death it passes from one body into another."

Caesar continued:

"With regard to their actual course of studies, the main object of all education is, in their opinion, to imbue their scholars with a firm belief in the indestructibility of the human soul, which, according to their belief, merely passes at death from one tenement to another; for by such doctrine alone, they say, which robs death of all its terrors, can the highest form of human courage be developed. Subsidiary to the teachings of this main principle, they hold various lectures and discussions on astronomy, on the extent and geographical distribution of the globe, on the different branches of natural philosophy, and on many problems connected with religion".
-Julius Cesar, "De Bello Gallico", VI, 13

After the first century BC the continental druids disappeared entirely and were referred to only on very rare occasions. However, there is some evidence that the druids of Ireland survived into the mid- to late-seventh century. In the De Mirabilibus Sacrae Scripturae of Augustinus Hibernicus, there is mention of local magi who teach a doctrine of reincarnation in the form of birds.

During the first millennium, Celtic and Druid spirituality was preserved by the Christian clerics who performed the valuable service of recording many of the stories and myths by which the oral teachings of the Druids were conveyed. People who think that Druidry was destroyed with the coming of Christianity fail to understand the resilience of spiritual teachings when they are encoded in myths and stories: and it is thanks to the clerics' recording of these tales that we can be inspired by them today. St Patrick also recorded all of the old Druid laws in Ireland - providing us with invaluable information on the ethics and social structure of Celtic Druid culture.

DRUID'S CIRCLES
A Druid's Circle is a popular name for circles of standing stones such as Stonehenge, which is the most famous example. These are also known as the "Temples of the Druids". Great mounds of earth were also built where the practice of seeking rebirth within the Earth was performed (in which initiates would sit in darkness awaiting the time of their rebirth). The best example of this is found at New Grange in Ireland, where a shaft is oriented to the Winter Solstice sunrise, so that the dawn rays can bathe the initiate in sunlight after his or her vigil through the night.

Irish Astrology is about bringing awareness of the Celtic Symbols used in the Druid belief system. They were used as early as the Vedic, Greek, or Roman systems. Click here for more info on Celtic Symbols and here for lovely Free Screensavers

Edgar Cayce on ESP

The story of Edgar Cayce's life is filled with examples of what this extra sense of communication is like. His ability to give readings in the sleep state could be labeled ESP because he somehow knew information that he had never studied, and he could see people and places and events without using his physical sight. While asleep, he could answer questions on any topic or he could give descriptions of the individual and his or her surroundings, even though Cayce was in Virginia Beach and the person receiving the reading might be in New York City. Because there are so many different types of extrasensory communication, researchers have broken down the term ESP into further categories to help explain what is taking place.

Telepathy is the ability to obtain information psychically by reading the mind of another person. For example, while Cayce was in Kentucky, he gave a reading for a man in New York. He saw the man smoking a cigar, heard him whistling a particular song, saw him meet with another man about a piece of property, and saw him look over three letters. Finally, the sleeping Cayce heard the man telephone another gentleman and knew the gentleman's name. All of these events were later verified. Cayce was able to see with this extra sense everything the man in New York had experienced firsthand with his normal senses. In our own lives, one example of telepathy is when we suddenly start thinking about someone we haven't heard from in a long time and a short while later the phone rings and that person is on the line.

Another category of ESP is clairvoyance, the ability to "see" information that no one else has. For example, suppose you shuffled a deck of cards and placed them face down, then went through the deck and tried to name each card (or at least to tell its color). If your percentage of correct guesses was far beyond what would be expected by random chance, it would be an example of clairvoyance. You would not need to be 100 percent accurate to demonstrate clairvoyance, just statistically (and consistently) greater than random chance. On the other hand, if you tried the same experiment but had a friend look at each card and concentrate on it before you guessed, this would be an example of telepathy.

Looking at one instance from the Cayce readings, we find the case of a person who was in Ohio while Cayce was in Virginia Beach. During the reading, Cayce correctly gave the person's body temperature. Now, if the attending doctor in Ohio had known the patient's temperature before Cayce's reading was given, then this would be an example of telepathy, since Cayce could have read the doctor's mind. But if the doctor hadn't known the temperature until after Cayce's psychic reading, it would be an example of clairvoyance.

A third category of ESP is precognition, the ability to view events before they happen. Many of us have had the experience called déjà vu; for example: you might be having a conversation with a friend and, all at once, be absolutely positive that you've had the exact conversation before. You may even know what your friend is going to say next. The Cayce readings suggest that one explanation for this phenomenon is that our dreams often foreshadow future events. Such precognitive dreams may be forgotten and onlydimly felt at those times as déjà vu experiences. There are countless examples of precognition in the files of the Cayce material. In many readings for children, Cayce foresaw what they would be like as adults, even going so far as to describe hidden talents and occupational decisions. There are also other examples of this precognitive ability. When completing a reading for one woman in New York, Cayce suddenly started giving a reading for a woman in Missouri, although no one had solicited it. Her request for help, dated the day after he had volunteered the information, did not arrive until after his response had already been mailed. Cayce also predicted the stock market crash more than six months before it occurred and foresaw the outbreak of World War II. He knew that he would die before his two sons returned home from overseas.

Although some have called Cayce a "prophet," he himself made no such claims. In fact, in one reading, he described himself as a "lowly, weak, unworthy channel". He rarely made any predictions about worldwide events, mostly because these kinds of predictions are subject to countless outside influences. For example, when psychics try to predict the future, all they can actually do is foretell a possible future based on current happenings. If events continue to occur the same course-if people's attitudes, lifestyles, and world conditions remain the same-then psychics can "see" what the result will be. However, the readings make it quite clear that each of us has the gift of free will. If enough people use their free will and change what they are currently doing, this in turn will have dramatic effects on the future.

In the Bible, Jonah went to the evil city of Nineveh to tell the people about the destruction that was about to come upon them. However, the people of the city repented of their evil ways. With their free will, they changed their lives and, as a result, their city was saved. The ability of precognition, then, is subject to many more influences than either telepathy or clairvoyance.

The fourth major category of ESP shown in the Cayce readings is retrocognition, the ability to see past events. For example, in the life readings (those readings which dealt with the soul) Cayce would often repeat aloud significant happenings in a person's life while going back over the years until the date of the person's birth. In one reading, he said, "1935-'32-disturbing periods-'31-'36-'26-not any too peaceful!" etc. In another life reading, Cayce was given the incorrect date and location of birth for a young girl. In going back over the years he responded with, "We don't find it here". (He had been incorrectly told that the child was born on January 24, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio). Then, after a short pause, he finally said, "Yes, we have the record here (looks like it's the wrong place and date)." It was later discovered that the girl had been born on January 23 (a day earlier) in New York City and not in Cleveland.

More than eleven years before the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947, Cayce's readings described a sect of Judaism about which scholars knew little. This group was the Essenes. Cayce gave a great deal of information about their work and their life in the community. For example, he claimed that in the Essene society men and women worked and lived together. At the time of the reading, scholars believed that the Essenes were a monastic society composed exclusively of men. However, in 1951, more than six years after Cayce's death, archaeologists made further excavations at Qumran near the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. They discovered evidence that both men and women lived together in the Essene society.

These are just a few of the many examples of ESP in the Cayce readings. Because "psychic is of the soul," the Cayce information suggests that it is relatively easy to induce personal psychic experiences. However, the phenomenon that manifests itself through psychic channels can oftentimes get us off the track. The readings suggest that instead of seeking psychic experiences for the sake of having them, we should seek only those within the context of spiritual growth, of learning about ourselves, or of being of service to others.

People often have the tendency to make psychic experiences seem unusual, out of the ordinary, special, somehow set apart, or perhaps even frightening. However in the Cayce approach, psychic information is as natural as an "intuition" or a "hunch." In addition, just because something is "psychic" does not mean it's 100 percent accurate. We may wish to work with psychic information to the same degree that we would listen to the advice of a trusted friend: it can be utilized as an additional tool for gathering insights and for making decisions - it shouldn't necessarily be given any more credence than information from any of our other friends (or senses); however, it shouldn't be given any less either. In time, individuals may work with their own intuition in such a way that it becomes as natural as using any of their other senses: taste, smell, touch, hearing, or sight.

Kevin Todeschi is the Executive Director and CEO of Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment, overseeing activities of the Cayce work worldwide including research on ESP. A prolific writer, he is the author of twenty books, including Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records, Edgar Cayce on Soul Mates, and Family Karma: The Hidden Ties that Bind.

Real Info on 2012 and Planet X Nibiru According to the Doomsday Believers

With today's internet carrying tons of information about anything and everything under the sun, where can one find real info on 2012 and Planet X Nibiru? Topics involving the belief that the world would end in December 2012 can be seen throughout blogs, forums and internet sites. The polar shift is one theory behind the buzz, and the other involves the so called Planet X or Nibiru. There are two sides claiming opposite theories.
Skeptics and experts are adamant that the planet does not exist. Doomsday theorists have taken up a conspiracy theory, claiming that the government agencies are just covering up what they know about the planet. Know the real info on 2012 and Planet X Nibiru and decide for yourself whether this is a hoax or not.
1.What The Believers Say
Doomsday theorists believe that they have the real info on 2012 and Planet X Nibiru. They claim that 2012 entails natural or man-made disasters, one of which may be a collision with Planet X.
2. What Proof Do They Have?
Not all they say are baseless rants. Believers rely on the ancient Sumerian's history and claim that they were actually the ones who discovered the planet. They were also the ones who determined that the planet passed near the Earth every 3,600 years. Aside from ancient culture, literatures and ancient artwork have also been interpreted as proof of the planet X Nibiru's existence.
The believers also claim that the current environmental activities are proof of the near collision of Earth and Nibiru. Increased temperatures, extreme climate change, increased seismic activity and intensity of storms and earthquakes are seen as signs of our impending doom.
3.The Skeptics' Answer
On the other side of the coin, the skeptics say that all this is a hoax. In answer to the believers' claim, non-believers say that the term "Planet X" is just a term used for unnamed planets that are being studied. They also denounce the theory about the Sumerians discovering the planet, stating that the Sumerian culture believed that heavenly bodies were gods. Hence, one of their stories involved the creation of the Earth due to the collision of two planets.
4.What Do You Think?
Now that you have read about the real info on 2012 and Planet X Nibiru from two opposite sides, it is time for you to decide for yourself. December 2012 Polar Shift - Who Say It's Possible?

Nobody knows if something bad will happen to the world in 2012. There is no conclusive scientific evidence that anything will happen to the planet earth come December 2012 Polar Shift event. One thing that is very conclusive right now; the world is experiencing climate change like global warming.

What is December 2012 Polar Shift event is all about? It all started in February 2001 when the sun did a magnetic polar shift. The stars did an awesome magnetic flipped indicating the arrival of a solar maximum. During this event, the Sun's magnetic north pole (located in northern hemisphere) now points toward the south indicating that the Solar Max is here and will remain where they are now with the north magnetic pole pointing through the Sun's southern hemisphere. The next magnetic polar shift event will occur in December 21st, 2012.when they will reverse again. This transition happens at the peak of every 11-year sunspot cycle - like a clock.

During December 2012 Polar Shift, many are asking if the earth's crust will do a 180-degree rotation around the core. No it will not happen. Reversal in the rotation of the earth is impossible according to the NASA scientist. Presently, there are slow movements of the continent but that is unfounded to the claim of reversal of the rotational poles. Magnetic reversal happens every 400,000 years on the average and that it doesn't cause any harm on earth.

However, many of the possible disaster were claimed (by others) to be the effect of the relationship between the rotation and the magnetic polarity of Earth.

Firstly, is the tsunami and tidal waves resulting shift in the earth crust that is visible now as the cause of the majority of fatalities from natural disaster around the world.

Secondly, is the volcanoes and nuclear winter. Simultaneous eruptions of the volcanoes are the extreme effect in an abrupt acceleration or deceleration of the Earth's crust. Consequently, volcanic aerosols may also have direct influences on the climate to suggest that the aerosol in the stratosphere have help to the depletion of the ozone layer thus changes in the Arctic atmospheric circulation pattern.

Lastly, is the sun and extreme heat. There are two things in the past events that occurred on earth; ice ages and global warming. We all knew that global warming is being experienced worldwide. This is created by mankind and for sure ice ages have nothing to do with the catastrophic event that the world is experiencing now.

Solar shift is possible and solar activity has a regular cycle. Not far from this event, solar flares can cause interruption of satellite communication, through electronic innovations these are protected against most solar storms. Polar magnetic reversal is a natural phenomenal and the next solar maximum will occur in the 2011-2014 time frames, and expected to be a normal solar cycle, not different than the previous cycles.

For more theories and information regarding the alleged phenomenon, visit December 2012 Polar Shift and think twice if this entire thing is a fact or just a myth! Click HERE for more info!
