Psychic Ability - Why Children Have Stronger Degrees of Psychic Gifts

Every living being on Earth is gifted with an innate psychic ability. But then, they say that the degree of psychic ability in children is much stronger, compared to adults -- why is this so?

Was there ever a time that you had noticed that children can do some things, out of the ordinary? It's amazing, like how a baby is able to successfully communicate his needs even though he cannot talk, and how he communicates with fellow babies. This is one proof of telepathic abilities in its purest form. This telepathic psychic ability in kids, allow them to communicate by only using their mind.

Another psychic ability that is known to be strong in children are the gift to see auras. An aura is the energy field that surrounds every person, place, or object. Through auras, one can tell the personality or "vibes." Kids can see and read auras very well. This is the reason why kids have different reactions toward new people they meet, or new places they visit.

Do you ever wonder why a child or baby, just out of the blue, laughs by himself? This is because they can see spiritual entities that most people cannot see. Yes, children have stronger degrees of the gifts of mediumship, and the sixth sense. There are literally hundreds of documented cases where children have come out of surgeries or near-death experiences, drawing pictures of angels or saying that they talked to a spirit on the 'other side'.

Children possess other psychic gifts as well. A child may have the psychic ability of precognition, telekinesis, clairvoyance, among many other possible gifts. But then, why are psychic abilities stronger in kids in comparison to adults?

Two facts about psychic gifts -- first, every person is born with an innate psychic ability. Second, any psychic ability is best to flourish in conditions in where one is pure in the mind, body, and spirit. This is why children have stronger degrees of any psychic ability, their innocent and intuitive nature, is pure enough to make any psychic gift flourish.

Children with psychic gifts are called crystal children, or indigo children. Unlike most adults, children are unaware that they even posses a psychic ability. More so, most adults do not even notice that their kids might have psychic gifts at all -- since after all, having imaginary friends, weird dreams, and mood swings, seem to be just a normal behavior among kids.

However, they say that as a person ages, the degree of any psychic ability within them, fades. The reason behind this, is that as one grows older, one's purity and innocence diminishes. But, there is a way to keep the degree of your psychic side as you age. This should start young, with parents being able to identify that their child has a special gift, and they must give the right motivation and inspiration to their kids.

Are Ufologists Taking the Red Pill?

If you are an avid follower of Ufology, it may be of interest to you to know, if you don't already, that many of your favorite researchers and investigators are high tailing it and getting the hell out of Dodge. Yup. They are leaving Ufology for seemingly saner and maybe even greener pastures. Why? Although the reasons may vary, it seems the most common answers are something akin to, "I can no longer handle being associated with the Fringe Element" or "There seem to be no 'Nuts and Bolts' craft so therefore this is looking more esoteric in nature" and "The field of Ufology has not yielded any new evidence or information since its inception" followed closely by "The Wackos are destroying the field just fine without my help, thanks."

Many renowned researchers in Ufology are falling or flying from the field but not necessarily to leave the realm of High Strangeness behind. Noted authors and researchers such as Jacques Vallee, possibly the father of fleeing the Ufological coop, have taken their notes, files and libraries only to look at things through a broader lens or a different angle as was evident in Mr. Vallee's book, Passport to Magonia wherein he not only looked at the UFO phenomenon in a daringly different manner but also introduced us to the periphery of it or possibly the greater understanding of it by showing us that UFO's are not necessarily the sole act of High Strangeness in any given UFO case. There is a veritable plethora of paranormal occurrences in many cases, such as astral phenomena, purported ghost visitations, disembodied voices as well as poltergeist-like activity and often occurring simultaneously or in tandem with the anomalous lights in the sky.

Other researchers that have since followed suit are Christopher O'Brien of the Mysterious Valley book series, Phillip J. Imbrogno, who as of today was a guest on the highly acclaimed podcast, Paratopia and has just announced a new book, Files From The Edge: A Paranormal Investigator's Explorations Into High Strangeness, that even the title suggests its not solely just about UFO's but the entire paranormal realm.

If one were to look at the implications of this mass Ufology exodus, a phenomenon of its own accord, one might begin to see that it's not necessarily that UFO's are any longer haute couture but instead perhaps a small part of a much larger and potentially more mysterious aspect of esoterica in so much as that a lot of the new findings in their research are giving a new face to esoterica as a whole. The most potentially disturbing implication and connective tie it seems in much of but not all of the paranormal phenomena is us. You read that right. More and more psychological and parapsychological evidence is pointing directly at the human psyche as a key and pivotal player in the currently still foggy but slowly progressing field of paranormal study.

In light of these new developments, one does not have to dig too deeply to understand why some of these mainstay and familiars faces of Ufology are beating hell to get off the decks of this sinking ship. There is new wave coming and the ones whom are paying attention apparently do not want to get swept overboard with the rest of the flotsam and jetsam.

There are a few Old School holdouts, however. Stanton Friedman, it seems, will be forever steadfast in his self made and hard fought niche in this uncertain field as well as his fellow Roswell Event counterpart Dennis Balthaser. But for those avidly watching and looking for new developments in the field and have as of late frustratingly found precious few, you may but turn your gaze a little to find a cornucopia of new reasoning and thinking invading the old standbys.

For the money, the researchers in the New Paradigm that, as if on cue by taking a gentle push from Vallee, are moving and shaking things up quite a bit. They are the likes of Greg Bishop, Nicolas Redfern, the late Mac Tonnies, the previously mentioned Christopher O'Brien, Jeffrey Ritzmann and Jeremy Vaeni of Paratopia fame, the once again renewed Phillip J. Imbrogno and the always reliable and fresh minded Colin Andrews.

That list of Paranormal Hotshots currently has produced enough relevant material collectively within the last three years to make anybody's head spin with their dizzying and well thought out projects. These are the critical thinkers using an open mind and intellectual creativity the likes of which cannot be boxed or contained in any traditional mode of understanding.

The nuts and bolts have defused into smoke and mirrors. The only thing left to contain the events and their inspired theories is perception. Perhaps someday, even that will be enough.

Cheers,

Erik

The Best UFO Conference Abduction Stories

There are many great alien abduction cases which I have heard at my local UFO conference down the years but two stand out above the others.

The abduction experience of Betty and Barney Hill only came to light after the couple involved decided to have therapy for sleep problems shortly after their encounter. The storm of media interest which followed led to a book and a film by the title of "The Interrupted Journey" and an appearance at a UFO conference. During their hypnotic regression sessions the therapist, who was totally unprepared for what the Hills had to say, tried to put a conventional spin to their story but the Hills held firm. The hypnotist was amazed as the couple recalled encountering the UFO and then being led into a spacecraft by alien beings. Although the couple told the same story about their abduction experience, the emotional impact on each was markedly different.

It was Betty Hill who was most intrigued by her encounter and remembered asking her alien hosts which star system they had come from. They showed her and she drew a map of their star system under hypnosis. This was easily dismissed at the time as being pure imagination. Some time later an astronomer claimed at a UFO conference to have found a match for the star system which Betty had drawn. However, this has been dismissed as dubious because the match is not exact and the map needs to be manipulated to look exactly like the star system in question. Barney Hill had a much more unpleasant encounter than his wife. He was terrified of the alien beings and of their invasive "medical" tests. Throughout his hypnotic description, he wanted only to get away from these strange beings.

Time has not weathered the importance of the Betty and Barney Hill encounter. It remains as probably the most important and fascinating UFO conference alien abduction case of all time. Travis Walton's encounter and alien abduction experience is also often discussed at a UFO conference and is just as fascinating as the Hill's case.

The incident occurred in November 1975 when Travis and his work colleagues were heading home after a hard day's work and encountered a UFO. Travis was curious and got out to have a look. The other crew members screamed at him to head back to the truck but could only watch in horror when a greenish light shot out from the underside of the UFO craft, hitting Travis and knocking him backwards to the ground. Petrified, they fled area only to return a while later to find that Travis was not there. Travis recounted this part of the experience at a UFO conference in the 1990s and the tension in the air was amazing.

The local police force were very unhappy with the logging crew's story of the events surrounding Travis's disappearance and suspected a murder motive. However, the crew all undertook lie detector tests and passed. The police's murder theory was squashed when Travis suddenly called home from a telephone box at a petrol station and asked his family to come and pick him up. He kept mentioning aliens with large eyes on the way to his parent's house. Travis thought that it was the following morning and was shocked to find out that he had been away for five days. He had lost weight and had a short beard. His hypnotic regression session recalled his story aboard a spaceship that included both the archetypal small gray beings who were about five foot tall, and humanoids who declined to communicate with him but signed for him to go with them. An oxygen mask was placed over his face, and Travis said he passed out. When he awoke, the craft was in the air over the road near the petrol station, and when it headed off, he made his call from the phone booth.

One of the most amazing features of Travis Walton's case and one which was noticeable at a recent UFO conference, is the personality changes of both Travis and his co-witness and relative, Mike Rogers. Travis now speaks in a quiet voice. He doesn't seemed bothered if skeptics doubt what happened to him. His once quiet brother-in-law, Mike Rogers, is now the person upset by those who rubbish Travis's claims. Neither of them have ever amended their recollections of that famous evening and encounter with a UFO on that forest road.

Travis Walton took a lie-detector test after the film and book "Fire in the Sky" came out and he successfully passed just as his logging crew had passed their lie detector tests when Travis was away for five days. What is the truth about Travis Walton? We can only say what he truly believes in what happened to him, and we also know that there were many witnesses to the incident. Walton used to be a regular at our UFO conference and quite simply said that either you believe him or you don't. I'll leave it at that.

Most Haunted

Most Haunted is the popular ghost hunting and paranormal show on UK Living TV. Hosted by Yvette Fielding and her team of paranormal investigators, including her husband Karl Beattie, the first series of this program was screened on Saturday, May 25th, 2002. Series 1 investigated seventeen haunted locations in the UK, including Chillingham Castle, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Michelham Priory and Derby Jail. Subsequent episodes have featured many more similarly haunted places, which have made compulsive viewing.

The usual format of the show is that the Most Haunted team travel around the UK and Ireland (and occasionally the United States, the latest visit being in October 2007 to Winchester Mystery House, San Jose, CA) investigating alleged paranormal 'hotspots' for 24 hours at a time.

Most Haunted generally features the main presenter (Yvette Fielding), a psychic medium and a parapsychologist. Essentially the latter two create an even balance between paranormal and scientific explanations for the various phenomena that occur. These are supported by some of the production crew, who appear in the show and generally have some interactivity with various parts of the investigation whilst performing their normal crew role. Most of these on-screen crew members also take part in séances, many of which have involved the use of the Ouija Board.

In addition to the normal weekly shows, there have also been quite a few Most Haunted Live shows. These are usually around three hours in length, and run for a total of three nights. After each of these live shows, viewers are given the opportunity to phone in to the show and comment on any paranormal activity they may have spotted on the various webcams the team have set up in each haunted location.

Most of the vigils featured in each episode involve the use of night vision cameras, giving each location a real spooky atmosphere. The photographic style of the series has changed considerably since series 1. In the first series, many elaborate shots were set up with an almost 'theatrical' style, with illuminated windows and dry ice. Locations were often illuminated outside at night time, with blue and green colours. From series 1 - 3 there was extensive use of the steadicam, which provided gliding shots during Yvette's ghostly tales or for general views. In series 8 the team introduced a camera crane or 'Jib' system for elaborate aerial shots of both Yvette and the locations. Most of the photography in Most Haunted focuses on 'general views' of a location and its surroundings. Most Haunted is filmed with both broadcast Sony DVcams and Sony PC120 miniDV cameras with night vision facility.

The show has also featured guest mediums. So far these have been Derek Acorah, Ian Lawman, Ian Shillito, Gordon Smith, Uri Geller and Kevin Wade. Some episodes have also included at least one celebrity. So far celebrities have included Vic Reeves, Nancy Sorrell, Gaby Roslin, Scott Mills, Mark Chapman, Simon Gregson, Sue Cleaver, Carol Thatcher, Paul O'Grady and Lee Ryan.

As Most Haunted has enjoyed an ever-increasing surge in popularity, there have been many DVDs released of each series, details of which can be found below this article. In addition to DVDs of the normal Most Haunted series, there have also been DVDs made of the Most Haunted Live shows.

In addition to the DVDs, there have also been a couple of books released relating to Most Haunted, namely Most Haunted and Ghost Hunters by Yvette Fielding and Ciaran O'Keefe.

The most recent live venture of Most Haunted was a seven-night investigation at an old abandoned mental asylm in Denbigh, North Wales. The Webmaster of the True Ghost Stories site makes a special appearance on the first night of this show. The DVD of this show will be available soon.

Aliens Part 1 - Why We Should Fear Them

Arthur C Clarke said any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, and magic is what Gods do. Our history is littered with reports of angels or spirits descending down to the Earth from the heavens. Why is it when we talk to God we look up? It's because that is where the God's came from. Zachariah Sitchin puts forward the theory that the bible speaks not about a loving creator God, but about a group of extraterrestrials discussing what seems to be nothing more than a science project. If this turns out to be true and there is a lot of evidence to suggest it is, what are the implications for humankind? The bible says God demands to be worshiped, he destroys cities and peoples and takes prophets up into heaven in fiery chariots. This is certainly NOT the behaviour or a benevolent creator.

The problem with being a creation is there is always a creator. And this usually means the creator is immensely more powerful than his creation. Let's say for the moment we WERE created by an advanced race of extraterrestrials as Sitchin suggests. This would imply that they had incredibly sophisticated technology before we even existed and would mean they're at least several thousand of years ahead of us. Just take a look at our own technological progress in the last 100 years. Now multiply that by even just ten and it's mind boggling to imagine were we'd be. The problem with this comparison of course is that it assumes our creators have the same intellects as we do, and the evidence points to them being far more intelligent than even our greatest minds.

Our species gets its power from its intellectual capability. We possess no physical weaponry or means of defense, so we rely on our technology for self-defense. So far on our own world, there aren't any competitors technologically hence we're on top of the food chain. But how would we fare against a species thousands of years ahead of us, how could ever hope to mount a challenge against them?

In the 1940's, pilots reported seeing strange orbs of light, both sides assuming it was the enemies new wonder-weapon. It seems someone out there began taking a greater interest in what we were doing. The explosion of the first Atom Bomb opened up a whole new can of worms for humankind. It meant we now had the power to destroy the entire planet, and I'm sure our creators never intended us to get that far. Their concern for what we were doing seemed to coincide with a new wave of U.F.O sightings until finally something went wrong and one of them came down at Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. This incident has now become U.F.O lore and even people with no interest in this subject have at least a small idea of what supposedly happened.

From what little information we have from eye witnesses etc, we can postulate that a craft came down in Roswell and the U.S government recovered the vehicle itself (although damaged) and several small non-human entities all but one of them dead. This incident is incredibly significant because from this point on, the extraterrestrials had to "come clean" in the sense that we now had their technology and we knew they weren't omnipotent Gods. What is interesting about this moment in history is why we were left alone, why, if the scientific experiment had now been contaminated were we allowed to survive. I suppose it depends on their motivations for creating us in the first place but there's a chance they thought us worthy of survival.

It was at this time that a deal was made between the U.S government and them which meant we would have access to their technology in exchange for them having access to the U.S (and probably global) population. This deal should give us hope, because you only make deals with equals. They could have just done whatever they pleased regardless. This could either be because the E.T's we met with were just a small group of observing scientists and had no military power so they had to negotiate, or maybe they genuinely respected us. I think the real reason is far more insidious however. The evidence from later on in the 20th century suggests it was a ploy, a trick to lull us into a false sense of security. They never intended for us to be partners.

Millions of Americans claim to have been abducted by aliens at some point during their lives. Can you possibly imagine the logistics of taking that many people one at a time and studying them? It is the abduction phenomena most off all that sends tingle up their spine when they think of aliens. One minute you're fast asleep in your bed, and then there's a bright white light coming through the curtains. You see a silhouette in front of you. People say it's the eyes. There's something mesmerising and hypnotic about the eyes. They then take you aboard their ships and humiliate you with their tests and experiments. People report screaming in pain and these beings just carry on as though nothing is wrong, they seem to lack any kind of empathy. For most people this experience is not a pleasant one. In fact, it's very rare to come away from these abductions feeling positive. People are left terrified, not really sure of what happened but knowing full well that something isn't right. They can be left with physical scars, as well as psychological ones. It can ruin someone's life.

The abduction phenomena demonstrates that the intentions of our creators are not benign, there is no love or respect towards their human captives. We are in fact, being used. It's as if we're simply vessels to be abused, and we're looked upon as one of our scientists looks on rodents or other lower life forms. Any species who is as incredibly advanced as they are yet displays such contempt for Humankind is no friend of ours.

Obviously, not all non-human species are the same and we cannot paint every civilization out there with the same brush, but there appears to one species in particular who has had the greatest influence and involvement in our development, enemy number one, the Grays.

When Neil Armstrong first walked upon the Moon, the entire world watched in amazement as he set his first footprint into the lunar dust. We all imagined moon bases, hotels on the moon. We at the very least expected a permanent presence to established up there. The Apollo project was cancelled in 1975 and we haven't been back since. Forty years later and nothing. This is despite the fact we have found water up there, you'd think we would be itching to back and study it. President George Bush Jnr promised to send men back to the moon by 2020. Current U.S President Barak Obama has now cancelled Bush's proposed Moon project. Why would he do this? It's all part of the same story. The reason we haven't gone back to the moon isn't because we didn't want to, but because we weren't allowed to! Supposedly, during the Apollo 11 mission, a transmission between Neil Armstrong and Houston was made that was censored. Only certain people back in Houston heard it. That transmission was intercepted by amateur radio enthusiasts, and has world-shattering implications if it's true. Here is one part of that transmission:

NASA: "Whats there? Mission Control calling Apollo 11..."

Apollo11: "These "Babies" are huge, Sir! Enormous! OH MY GOD! You wouldn't believe it! I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there, lined up on the far side of the crater edge! They're on the Moon watching us!"

Neil Armstrong has also stated in the interview below what happened:

Professor: "What REALLY happened out there with Apollo 11?"

Armstrong: "It was incredible, of course we had always known there was a possibility, the fact is, we were warned off! (by the Aliens). There was never any question then of a space station or a moon city."

Professor: "How do you mean "warned off?"

Armstrong: "I can't go into details, except to say that their ships were far superior to ours both in size and technology - Boy, were they big!... and menacing! No, there is no question of a space station."

Why would they warn us to stay away, because they don't want us interfering with their studies!. They don't want us to know what they're doing out there. So, since 1975 we've pretty much kept ourselves to ourselves, not venturing out very far. Whatever Neil and the other astronauts saw, the message must have been very clear as we have obeyed them and not gone back.

Why Spirits May Stay on Earth

Why do spirits stay on earth, when many religions tell of a "heaven" where everything is better than life on earth, containing more beauty than anyone can imagine. It is difficult to answer this question for every spirit who chooses, whether they are aware of it or not, to stay on earth. However, there are reasons that are common. The major reason is that the spirit is too shy or uncomfortable to move on.

Imagine living in your current home from the day you had been born. Assuming that you like your current home, and the family or roommates you live with, imagine suddenly having a notice to leave. Most would be struck in the heart at the thought of having to leave. This is what happens to a spirit who does not want to leave this earth. They have grown to call it their home and they are not ready to leave. The next scenario is similar to this, and that is that they feel like they need to complete something in their life.

What they feel like they need to finish are as unique as snowflakes. No two reasons are the same. In their life, these spirits may have been the family member whose mind were plagued by common thoughts such as "Did I leave the stove on?" or "I can't remember whether I locked all the window and doors." and "I think I left the curling iron on." The spirit may truly want to move on, but these thoughts fill their mind, preventing themselves from moving on in fear of these thoughts being realities. It is a hard struggle for the spirit to accept that they may not be able to protect those who they left behind and move on. These spirits are one of the hardest to help move on. The next reason is that they are too stubborn to leave.

These are normally the spirits who during their life held onto a pair of old boots or shoes because they were still wearable, despite the fact they were falling apart. The shoe would have to tear into pieces, or be secretly thrown out by someone in the family. They feel that this is their life, even though they may have passed away, and they can still live it how they want, when they want, and where they want. When they are ready to cross over, they will, but no one will tell them when that time will be. The next scenario is when the spirit does not know they have passed.

The event that caused them to pass on was either so subtle they did not know they passed, or so traumatic they blocked it out from their memory. The best way to describe this is waking up to an empty house. Everything is still the same as normal. Where clothes had been left the night before are still in a pile. The dishes are still in the sink. But no one is there. An eternal silence that can only be broken until someone brings them to the realization that they are dead, or the spirit figures it out on their own. Until they do, they may walk the same house or place waiting for someone to show up. The last popular scenario is simply the fear of where they may go.

The idea of leaving this earth and embarking on a journey to a completely new place, where every law of science is discarded scares some. For others, it is an exciting new adventure that can only lead to new discoveries and thrills. Others hold on to what they have learned on earth and hold an iron grip to it. They do not accept change well. These are the spirits that when living will never change a single room in their house. The paint, wallpaper, and furniture setup will stay the same as if frozen in time.

The reason for a spirit to stay behind varies from spirit to spirit. Normally, the reasons seem to normally fall into one of these five categories. However, the reason may not. One of the most difficult things about being a psychic is trying to pinpoint why they have not moved on, and help them cope. I personally have not tried before. In my opinion, it would be like trying to force someone into therapy. You cannot do that to a spirit. They have to choose to appear to you, asking for help. I have not had that happen yet, but if it does it will be an experience I will gladly have, and write about.

Guan Yin - The Chinese Female Buddha

Guan Yin is a Bodhisattva. A Bodhisattva is one who has reached Nirvana and achieved Enlightenment, but has chosen to remain on earth to soothe the pain of humankind and to lead them to Enlightenment. Guan is the goddess of compassion, and she is the only female Bodhisattva. However, she was not always female.

In the beginning, the god of compassion was Avalokite vara, and he was male. The Buddhist god of compassion remains male today in both India and Tibet. But when Buddhism was brought to China in the fifth century it was difficult for the Chinese to relate to a male god of compassion. In the Taoist tradition the god of compassion was female. And so, over time the two traditions merged and the result was a female Buddhist goddess of compassion. When her gender changed her named changed as well and she became Guan Yin.

Guan Yin is often shown holding a child in her arms. This is because she is the Buddhist saint of barren women. The child is a symbol that shows that she hears their cries for children. The whiteness of her clothing is the symbol of purity. Sometimes she is depicted holding a mala in one hand. This symbolizes her devotion to Buddhism. When we see Guan Yin with the lotus blossom we are reminded that though our lives might be surrounded by the mud of misery we can attain enlightenment. Often statues of Guan Yin show her with many arms, and an eye in the palm of each hand.

An old Chinese fairytale depicts the story of how Guan Yin came to be and how she earned her thousand arms and eyes. In China during the 7th century a king had three daughters. The greatest desire of his third and youngest daughter was to be a nun. However, the king wanted her to marry. When she protested, the king became angry and flew into a rage. He ordered her to serve the family by doing the most menial tasks, such as scrubbing chamberpots and growing vegetables in barren rocky ground. He was sure that such tasks would humble her and make her change her mind and follow his wishes. But it was not to be.

She was able to grow beautiful vegetables in the garden. When the king saw that his plan was foiled he was very angry and order her execution. The executioner was a kind-hearted man, and he devised a way to make the sword break into a thousand pieces and leave the girl unharmed. When the king saw that the execution was not successful he took matters into his own hands and managed to kill her himself.

Upon the young girl's arrival in the underworld, the fires of hell were put out. The king of the underworld did not appreciate the changes that she brought to his kingdom and so he returned her to the land of the living, riding in the heart of a lotus bloom. When she arrived in the land of the living she made her home on the top of Putuo, an island in the sea. She lived here for many years healing the sick and saving mariners from shipwreck.

Guan Yin's father became ill, late in his life, and he was told that the only thing that could heal him was the eyes and arms of a compassionate soul. Upon hearing this, the girl willingly gave her arms and eyes so that he might be healed. Not knowing who she was, he approached her to give his thanks. As he recognized her as his daughter, and understood her sacrifice a cloud descended upon her. When the cloud went away the holes that were once her eyes and arms had been replaced by a thousand eyes and arms.
