How Could the 2012 Pole Shift Affect You? Surviving the Pole Shift

For the past two thousand years the strength of the magnetic poles of the Earth has been weakening. It is an acknowledged fact that prior to the shifting in direction of the magnetic poles, this weakening always occurs, supporting the prediction that a change in poles is coming around 2012.

With the approach of 2012 people are beginning to wonder how this shift will affect them. One only has to look at how important the established norms of navigation are to see this.

Ordinary road users as well as far more complex operations rely upon the idea of magnetic north for their function. Imagine a pilot flying at 5000 feet in cloud, with no compass to fly by! If the shift is sudden then many people may be affected.

Far more serious is that the Earth's magnetism provides a protective effect-called the magnetosphere. It protects us from solar winds and other potentially damaging particles, and if interrupted during a pole shift, there is the risk that we will be left exposed to these dangerous charged particles and radiation that normally we are protected from.

Others theorize that the shift could cause disastrous changes to the Earth's tectonic plates-that the shift could be physical rather than a magnetic changing of the poles, causing shifts and changes that may result in massive earthquakes, flooding and tsunami. If this is the case then a true doomsday scenario may be faced by all, and there will be little that can be done to increase your chances of survival. The resultant quakes would likely be massive, catastrophic in magnitude, and cause death and destruction beyond anything that has been seen before.

Pole shifts have happened before and the planet survived-that is not in question. The question here is how badly the 2012 pole shift will affect the human race, and that remains to be seen.

The 2012 pole shift may or may not happen, but it's certainly not the only thing that is predicted for the year 2012. Will you survive 2012? What is coming ahead? Click here to learn more and see how you can get a FREE disaster preparedness kit.
