8 Things Every Beginner Should Know About Ouija Boards

The Ouija board contains all 26 letters of the alphabet, numbers 0-9 and the words yes, no, maybe, and goodbye. The first board was invented in Maryland, circa 1890, by Charles Kennard.

The Ouija has always fascinated people. It is used to communicate with spirits or develop psychic abilities. But it is dangerous, especially if you call a spirit that you perceive to be evil or know nothing about. In any case, try not to be afraid of it, as it can help you connect with your subconscious.

If you contact a spirit, discover who, where, how they died, all questions will give you an idea if it is a good or bad idea to continue your communication with the spirit. But, of course, even the ethereal beings are capable of lying. It is best to check their answers at your local library or on the web if they were celebrities (dancers, writers etc). If you are accompanied with a group of friends who are trying to communicate with a spirit of whom some of them may have known when it was in it's earthly body, we must ask specific questions that only the spirit knows the answer in it's previous earthly life.

Remember that you must always know what and who are the spirits. If all information from the spirit are confirmed, you are then free to be in contact with them once more.

One more thing you must remember. Do not ask silly questions such as "what if I do not pass the test tomorrow?" or "When will I die?" Some spirits feed on our fear, and give all the answers that will leave you fearful and disturbed.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. Limit the experiment to 3 hours per week or you may become addicted and therefore a slave to certain spirits.

2. Cast the Circle before the session and close once the session has finished. If you are a practising Christian, keep a rosary nearby.

3. Don't ever leave the planchette (message indicator) on the board when not in use. If it goes to all four corners on the board or constantly makes a figure eight, this indicates that you have contacted an evil spirit. In these situations, immediately flip the planchette upside down and use it in this way.

4. If you feel the session becoming increasingly threatening, say goodbye and immediately put the board up.

5. If you want to get rid of your board, DO NOT BURN IT! First, break the board into seven parts and sprinkle with holy/consecrated water and then bury it.

6. It's ok to create a homemade ouija board, which will work just as well, perhaps even better, because it would be filled with your own energy! Pick a wood like birch or oak.

7. A good sized board measures at fifteen by twenty inches and at least a quarter inch thick to resist warping.

8. Sand, stain and letter your board then coat with varnish or enamel. Feel free to decorate it with pictures of suns, moons, stars or pentagrams. Then, create the planchette out of wood or clear plastic. If you wish to use a glass or a cup instead, do not forget to hold the glass or cup over a candle-lit flame before each session.

Did you know...

That the Ouija Board was actually designed as a game? However, because of the many reported incidents of unpleasant and "unexplained" experiences, many countries have banned the sale of Ouijas.
